Romans 12: 9-21--NIV

Romans chapter 12 reflection prayer

Father God, I come before you in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. I pray you will clothe us with Jesus as we awake this morning and go about this day. Please open our eyes to see things through your purpose. Lord Jesus, we are asking that you show us how to use our gifts to inspire others to walk toward your throne of reconciliation. We pray that our thoughts will be continuously transformed to your will, not ours. Give us discernment to test every thought and decision that comes our way so that we will speak your Holy truth. Father, do not allow us to think of ourselves above anyone, create in us a sober heart in accordance with your will and purpose for our lives.

Grant us the gift of loving others beyond what we see. Father God willed us to hate evil and cling to what is good according to your definition. Holy Father do not take the zeal to serve you away from us. Please Lord Jesus, teach us how to be joyful in hope and during difficult times. Help us to remain faithful in prayer no matter what path we are in. Teach us how to be peacemakers and to live in harmony with everyone. Do not let us forget who we are in you, so that we don't become conceited and look down on others. Do not allow us to retaliate against those who do us wrong. But instead, give us the gift of showing grace and mercy instead of revenge. Teach us how to care for our enemies just as you have cared for us who were once your enemy in our sinful desires.  Father, teach us through the Holy Spirit how to overcome the evil that is all around us with Goodness which only comes from you. It's in Jesus name, our Lord and Savior, we pray and ask these requests. Amen!
