  • Philippians 2:13 KJV

    For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

    Apostle Paul, prior to making this statement was encouraging the disciples to work out their own salvation with fear and trembling (verse 12). As you read this scripture, does this passage prompt you to think about how you know it is God who is using you as a vessel to fulfill his good purpose or pleasure?  As I have done for many years, the first week of January I prayed asking God to show me how to move forward this new year for his purpose.

    Have you ever struggled with having faith that God can do miracles for others but when it comes to your life, the lies and doubts from the enemy fills your mind? When my journey with the Lord ends, I am confident that he will not charge me for lack of faith in his ability to do or allow things to happen for the world and people around me. My struggle is, will he do it for me? During a recent transition in my life, the Lord taught me a lesson about my character that I will never forget.

    Has God met your needs?  Before you answer this question, ask yourself what is the definition of need?  The scripture did not say God will provide you with all you want. Yes, our God is a generous father. He blesses us many times beyond our needs. After you define the word need or necessity, praise God for all the blessings he has bestowed upon your life, despite the different trials you might be facing.
