Psalm 31:4–5 NIV

“Keep me free from the trap that is set for me, for you are my refuge. Into your hands I commit my spirit; deliver me, Lord, my faithful God.”

Your Soul Is the Prize: Who Will You Trust?

From the moment you woke up today, the enemy has already set traps to lure you away from God. Jesus revealed that our souls are the battlefield’s target. Remember His words to Peter:

Luke 22:31–32 (NIV):
“Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift all of you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail.”

Just like Peter, you are destined for God’s purposes. That is why Satan fights for your soul. But God gave His best—Jesus Christ—in exchange for you (John 3:16).

The Lord is patient, not desiring anyone to perish (2 Peter 3:9). If God were against us, humanity would not have survived Noah’s day (Genesis 6–9). Instead, He gave us salvation through Christ, offering eternal life to all who believe.

So, ask yourself: If God were truly your enemy, why is it Satan who sets the traps, prowls like a roaring lion (1 Peter 5:8), and deceives with lies? God is not leading anyone to hell—the choice is ours.

Will you entrust your spirit into Christ’s hands, or fall for Satan’s snares? Remember, the Devil’s fate is already sealed—the fiery lake of burning sulfur (Revelation 20:10).

Your soul is the prize. Choose wisely whom you will trust.
