For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
What struggle are you fighting through today? Whatever it might be, the fight you are taking on is much bigger than you. Your mistakes, conflicts with others, addictions, sickness, being a victim of abuse, etc., are bigger than what your eyes see. As you witness the chaos that is happening around you or in your personal life, know that the spirit of this dark world is the enemy. There is a dark force that is fighting for our soul.
These spiritual powers manifest in unusual ways that often blind us from seeing beyond the physical world. For example, how do we explain the reason a person decides to take a weapon and kill others with no remorse? We can reason many ways why such an act takes place. However, when we hear or see these incidents that seem to occur so often in our society, we must train ourselves to see them in the spiritual realm. During any incidents, I learned to observe how the spiritual forces of this dark world are using God’s creation to dwell and carry out its evil destruction. God's armor is the only weapon that can help us fight against the schemes of the rulers and authorities of this dark world (Ephesians 6:10-18). Lord Jesus, please open our eyes to see the spiritual war waging against us all, so that we do not fall into Satan’s trap of becoming hateful and bitter toward each other!
