Weekly Reflection

Daniel 12:2 KJV

And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

When you read this scripture what comes to your mind? We live in a society that invests so much energy attempting to suppress the truth that Hell and Heaven are real. 1 John 5:19 reads, "We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one". How often do you talk or study Hell or Heaven? Unless you take the time to learn about the two options, how would you know the risk that you are taking by choosing either one?

In fact, our world has become so sin driven that even those who are called to minister the Good News of Jesus Christ are afraid to talk about the wages of sins (Romans 6:23). Yes, Jesus came to save the world, that is in fact the “Good News.” He also recognized not every soul will say yes to his sacrificial offer of salvation and mercy (John 3:19). Jesus shared a story in Mathew 25:31-46 which confirmed there are two groups on this earth. We will all stand before God whether we are dead or alive. Take time to meditate and ask yourself, what choices have you made regarding your destination? What or who does your life reflect? Do I  strive in my lifestyle to join the Sheep pan under God as my Shepherd or the goats pan under Satan as my Shepherd?
