Weekly Reflection

Psalm 23:1-4 NIV

"The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me;
your rod and your staff, they comfort me."

Eternal Pastures Await: Walk with the Shepherd Today

Have you ever paused to truly reflect on what it means when David says, “The Lord is my shepherd”? These words were not poetry for poetry’s sake; they were a testimony of David’s real encounters with God through every high and low. Through victory and failure, through sin and repentance, David experienced God’s faithfulness, guidance, and protection.

What does a shepherd do? According to the Cambridge Dictionary, a shepherd is “a person whose job is to take care of sheep and move them from one place to another.” A shepherd is responsible, watchful, and deeply invested in the well-being of the sheep. That’s who God is to us.

He’s not a distant God; He is the Shepherd of your soul. He longs to lead you, through Jesus Christ, into the eternal garden He has prepared: the New Eden, beautifully described in Revelation 22.

Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.
No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him.
They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads.
There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light.
And they will reign for ever and ever.
Revelation 22:1-5

Friend, as Jesus did in Matthew 4, I urge you to reject the enemy’s lies. My heart aches for humanity’s soul as I remember the moment Jesus came and rescued me from Satan’s grip. I remember what it felt like to be lost, and I rejoice in the power of being found as I celebrate and dedicate my 46 years of life to my Shepherd on this day.

Will you choose Jesus today?
Will you allow Him to guide you to that eternal pasture as your Shepherd?

Satan owns nothing, creates nothing, and only mimics, distorts, and steals. But everything belongs to God; through Jesus, we are invited to partake in His peace, joy, and eternal life.

The gate is open. The Shepherd is calling.
Will you follow His voice?

The choice is yours.
Choose to surrender your life to God today and reign with Him forever.
