John 5:11-12 NIV

But he replied, “The man who made me well said to me, 'Pick up your mat and walk.' ”  So they asked him, “Who is this fellow who told you to pick it up and walk?”

As I listened and read this scripture at about 12:40 am, the Spirit prompted me to get up and write this devotion.  I can in many ways relate to this guy who was an invalid for 38 years.  I am very blessed that my deliverance in Jesus’ name did not come after so many years. I was 9 years old when Jesus brought me a Bible and called me out of the bondage of Satan. Moreover, I was 14 years old when Jesus again delivered me from my invalid life.

To learn more about my journey, please read my full devotionals on the ministry’s website. Like the man from the story, people don't ask me who is this fellow who told you to be set free! Instead, due to lack of belief and narrow mindedness about the manifestation of the power of God in our society today, they either dismiss Jesus’ powerful healing in my life or they view it as fictional.  God is the same today, tomorrow and forever. His power and willingness to heal you is still available today. What is holding you in the invalid state where you are feeling defeated? Jesus is ready for you to pick up your mat and walk. Our invalid life may look different from this man. It could be physical health, mental health, drug/alcohol, sexual addiction, lying, wealth, etc. God is asking you, do you want to get well? He accepts no excuses, simply get up and start your walk of faith and victory. Don't delay because tomorrow is not promised.
