Ephesians 6:12 NIV
Spiritual Battle
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
God desires to lead us into truth, peace, and victory, while the enemy seeks to sow confusion, fear, and destruction:
"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." — John 10:10 (NIV)
However, when we surrender to God's guidance, He promises to direct our steps:
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." — Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)
Each morning, when you wake up to another day in this world, what crosses your mind? When you read the Apostle Paul’s warning in Ephesians about the spiritual battle we are in, do you truly grasp its significance? Or does it remain just a passing thought?
Take a moment to reflect—every single day, Satan and his demons strategize ways to pull you away from God by any means necessary. My friend, I pray that the Lord opens our eyes to recognize that this world, along with everything in it, is temporary and will ultimately pass away. Even our bodies are merely vessels for our spirit and soul.
So, who is steering your life? Is it wealth, power, career ambitions, material possessions, or even the opinions of others? Satan disguises himself in whatever form he needs to in order to deceive and mislead us. His goal is to divert our focus from God’s eternal path.
"Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour." — 1 Peter 5:8 (NIV)
Do not be deceived. Stay vigilant. Stand firm in your faith.
The question is: Who will you allow to lead your life?
