My prayer is not for you to read a daily scripture but for you and I to become student of the Word of God through practical application until his Word becomes a “Living and Active” way of life so that we can be transform in the likeness of our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 12:2).
"That is why the Israelites cannot stand against their enemies; they turn their backs and run because they have been made liable to destruction. I will not be with you anymore unless you destroy whatever among you is devoted to destruction."
Now when Joshua was near Jericho, he looked up and saw a man standing in front of him with a drawn sword in his hand. Joshua went up to him and asked, "Are you for us or for our enemies?" "Neither," he replied, "but as commander of the army of the Lord I have now come." Then Joshua fell facedown to the ground in reverence, and asked him, "What message does my Lord have for his servant?"
Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.
For through the Law I died to the Law, so that I might live to God. “I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. “I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the Law, then Christ died needlessly.
It does not, therefore, depend on human desire or effort, but on God's mercy.
After being made alive, he went and made proclamation to the imprisoned spirits--- to those who were disobedient long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built.
